The Tarxien Local Council, through the Norwegian Funds Small grant scheme, together with SEM assistance, has worked hard to implement the Tarxien reach out Centre – Community Hall. The objectives are to improve the quality of life and sustainable living standards of deprived communities in urban locations. The Ħal Tarxien Local Council has identified enthusiasm among residents for more social opportunities. Therefore, the primary concept of “reach out Centre” (Community hall) was to address the various needs in our locality. Infrastructural improvements were needed to create a comfortable and modern place and supply it with all the necessary equipment. The reach out Centre will also host the Tarxien regional library. The Ħal Tarxien Local Council will be hosting a variety of courses at primary and secondary level in Maltese, English, Mathematics and ICT, as well as various artisanal courses and physical Education sessions such as Zumba, yoga & fitness. In order to bring the Ħal Tarxien Community together, other activities will be held on a continuous basis.
